Vanex Metal Primer
Vanex, Inc. has produced the perfect product for painters who have difficulty in deciding which primer to use on non-ferrous surfaces. MetaLast Waterborne metal primer provides superior adhesion to untreated galvanized metals and aluminum.
In addition to MetaLast's fast drying properties, soap and water clean up and the fact that the product is non-toxic, non-flammable and environmentally safe, the most exciting feature is that the product can be successfully applied to minimally prepared substrates. This allows the initial prep time to be cut in half. According to Walter Rexing, Technical Director, “We originally formulated MetaLast as a waterborne primer that would outperform the corrosion protection of typical solvent primers. One of MetaLast's unexpected benefits was it's superior adhesion without extensive surface preparation to difficult metals such as untreated aluminum and galvanized. The product has successfully been used as a base primer for large conveyor systems, aluminum rotating doors, iron balconies and railings, and on the support structure of portable buildings that are manufactured in the United States but are shipped worldwide.
