It can be painted directly over firm, rusty surfaces such as iron and steel, providing a deep, rich, decorative finish that is resistant to corrosion and the damaging effects of moisture and severe weather. As the rust-encapsulating coating dries, heat-hardened glass flakes interlock with special resins to form a surface of protective resin and glass particles.
