Professional Paint Inc. acquires Ideal Paints
Professional Paint Inc. (PPI) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Vancouver-based General Paint Corp., acquired Ideal Paints in Toronto, Ontario. Ideal Paints is a manufacturer of quality architectural paints. Included in the acquisition are Ideal’s distribution and service center in Rexdale and three additional service centers in Pickering, Oakville and London.
General Paint was founded 92 years ago in Vancouver, BC, and has grown to become the market leader in western Canada. PPI is a privately-held company that owns many of the best known regional paint brands in the western U.S. and throughout Canada, including Frazee Industries (San Diego), Hanley Paint (El Paso), Parker Paint (Tacoma), Kwal Paint (Denver), Sophir Morris (Omaha), and Stellar Kwal Paint (Dallas).
