NGPP gives facelift to adult day health center
The Coastside Adult Day Health Center in Half Moon Bay, Calif., received a much-needed makeover this past August when the Northern California Chapter of the National Guild of Professional Paperhangers gathered to work their magic.
The dining room, activity room and adjacent hallways were given the facelift by the application of 44 single rolls of 27-inch vinyl and 12 bolts of border. Imperial Home Décor Group donated the paper and Gardner-Gibson donated the adhesive through a local associate member. Chapter member Larry Charon, who did a little pre-hang painting and trim work, organized the labor. Larry gathered fellow chapter members Gerri Beauvais, Jean Boles, Donald Foreman, Lauretta Jenkins (current chapter president), John Krause, and Earl Wanbaugh, in addition to paperhanger volunteers Steve Shlee and Fred Crumb. Janie Bono, executive director of the center, not only pitched in with a paintbrush but also provided the volunteer crew some tasty treats.
