PPI acquires Duckback
Professional Paint Inc. (PPI) has acquired, through a wholly owned subsidiary, the operating assets of Duckback Products Inc., a manufacturer of high quality wood and concrete stains based in Chico, Calif. Duckback will operate as a stand-alone division. PPI is a privately held company that owns many of the best known regional paint brands in the western U.S. and throughout Canada. Professional Paint companies include Frazee Industries, in San Diego, Calif.; Hanley Paint, in El Paso, Texas; Parker Paint, in Tacoma, Wash.; Kwal Paint, in Denver, Colo.; Sophir Morris, in Omaha, Neb.; Stellar Kwal Paint, in Dallas, Texas; General Paint, in Vancouver, British Columbia; and Ideal paints, in Toronto, Ontario.
