Hyde Manufacturing buys
Canadian tool company
Hyde Manufacturing Co., of Southbridge, Mass., is pleased to announce the acquisition of A. Richard Ltd., based in Berthierville, Quebec. The company will be a strategic partner with Hyde Tools Inc. The two companies are leaders in the U.S. and Canada in hand tools for the paint, drywall, flooring, masonry and industrial knife markets.
A. Richard Ltd. has been in business since 1890, and Hyde has also been in business for more than 100 years. “We will continue to service our customers in the same high quality fashion that they have been accustomed to,” says Francois Panfili, newly appointed president of the A. Richard operation in Canada, “and no major changes in either entity are expected to occur.”
