Okon Water-based Sealer
Protects Concrete & Masonry
Okon W-1 Water Repellent Sealer is a 5-percent-solids water-based premium sealer formulated to be used on reasonably dense concrete and masonry surfaces such as poured-in-place concrete, regular stucco and most new brick, as well as on interior diamond-finish plaster. The product is designed as a one-coat system that effectively seals concrete and masonry surfaces, preventing moisture penetration that can cause problems such as efflorescence, freeze-thaw damage and staining.
The sealer reduces maintenance requirements by lessening environmental erosion such as dusting, chalking, cracking and spalling. When applied as directed, Okon W-1 will not change the natural appearance of concrete, masonry, stucco or plaster and can be used under or over painted surfaces.
The application of Okon W-1 Water Repellent Sealer to traditional plaster and diamond-finish plaster leaves interior walls with a sealed, natural finish. The “rag-on, rag-off” application process provides the walls with a protective coating on these hard, steel-trowelled plaster surfaces, while maintaining their original beauty and color. VOC emission is well below the limits established for water repellents by the EPA and the state of California.
