Sawtec Grinder-Vac

Blastrac Grinder-Vac,
Surface Prep

Handheld grinder keeps
dust under control

Preparing concrete surfaces for paint is a dirty job. That’s where the Sawtec Grinder-Vac comes in.

This tool is a shrouded concrete grinder that controls the dust kicked up when removing paint or coatings from a concrete surface. It scours away mastics, epoxies, urethanes, paint and any other coating from concrete, and it does so without making much of a mess.

The unit features a flexible polyurethane dust shroud that allows the grinder to connect to a number of different kinds of vacuums. Shroud kits adapt numerous makes and models of grinders to the dust-control units.

Sawtec Grinder-VacThe Grinder-Vac line includes a 5-inch model that weighs 8 pounds and a 7-inch model that weighs 16 pounds. Both are handheld tools, but the 7-inch model can be connected to a dolly for use while standing up.

The 7-inch model can be outfitted with a convertible shroud for performing edge work, such as grinding next to walls, while the 5-inch model can come with a cut shroud.

For more about the Sawtec Grinder-Vac, visit the Blastrac Web site or call (800) 256-3440.
