PDCA Has New President
Robert C. Miller, president of R.C. Miller Co. Inc. of Peoria, Ill., was elected president of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA). Miller brings to the office a virtual lifetime of experience in the industry. For three-plus decades, he’s been at the helm of the painting firm his father founded in 1948 and has also given service to numerous community efforts and trade organizations.
Miller plans to emphasize coalition-building in the coming year, as PDCA seeks to increase professionalism in the industry. The association is also renewing and rebuilding its governmental affairs program and working to increase its professional value for its members.
And Miller has one more goal. “I would to see us all have a lot more fun this year,” he says. “It’s pretty simple. When people leave a meeting, we want them smiling and asking, ‘When is the next meeting?’ I hope that feeling carries on forever.” For more information on the PDCA, visit the PDCA Web site.
