Rodda Paint Wins Award for Low-VOC Paint

Rodda Paint Co., located in Portland, Ore., has been awarded the 2004 BEST (Businesses for an Environmentally Sustainable Tomorrow) Sustainable Product award from the Office of Sustainable Development in Portland.

Rodda Paint won the award for Horizon, the company’s Green Seal certified line of low-VOC paint. Horizon is the first low-VOC interior paint available in the western United States to have earned the Green Seal endorsement, and the only exterior paint in the U.S. to earn the same designation. Sales of Horizon tripled from 2002 to 2003.

To earn the Green Seal designation, products must demonstrate that they perform at least as well as conventional products. For paint, this performance is measured in durability, range of colors, and cleanup.

For more information on Rodda, visit the Rodda Web site or call (800) 452-2315.
