SPS Faux Finish Training

School is in
Specialized Painting Services (SPS), a Tampa, Fla., company, is having success with Specialized University, an in-house training program it designed and implemented to teach professional skills to painters.

SPS is expanding its learning center to accommodate growth. It’s added a boardroom and a classroom that seats up to 100. The company also has long-range plans to open the center to other small and medium-sized service organizations.

The program provides tips for proper painting and also teaches general business skills, focusing on customer service and quality control. It offers Spanish and English classes, computer training, faux finish training, and training in customer service skills.

Specialized University begins with several 40-hour-per-week sessions. Once employees have completed base courses, they’re given the opportunity to move on to one-day-a-week modulated continuing education classes.

To learn more about Specialized University, visit the Specialized Painting Services Web site or call (800) 446-4274.
