Cabot Introduces New, Advanced-Technology
Waterproofing With Teflon

Unique, completely water-based silicone formula offers unmatched protection for wood, concrete, brick and masonry! Samuel Cabot Inc., the innovative leader in architectural finishes, announces the introduction of Cabot Waterproofing with Teflon Surface Protector — a new, advanced-technology, clear, water-based silicone coating designed to protect a multitude of surfaces against the damaging effects of moisture infiltration. Cabot Waterproofing provides unsurpassed waterproofing protection to new or properly reconditioned wood, concrete, masonry, brick, stone and unglazed tile surfaces.

Its one-of-a-kind formulation works by filling in the pores of these substrates with silicone, creating a long-lasting, moisture-proof seal that protects against damaging freeze / thaw cycles. The addition of Teflon Surface Protector to the Cabot Waterproofing formula further increases water repellency while boosting resistance to dirt pick-up, grease and oil staining, mildew and increased washability.

New Cabot Waterproofing is environmentally safe and free of harmful V.O.C.’s (Volatile Organic Compounds). It’s unique, water-based formula makes it easy to use — both indoors and out — and easy to clean-up after using. It can be applied by brush, roller, low-pressure pump sprayer or by dipping.

Cabot Waterproofing will be available in one-, two- and five-gallon sizes at authorized Cabot retailers nationwide beginning April 1, 1999.

Cabot has been a pioneer in the development and marketing of premium quality interior and exterior wood care products since 1877.
