Sherwin-Williams E-Barrier Designed to Reflect Radiant Heat

From Sherwin-Williams comes a new coating called E-Barrier that contains microscopic reflective particles which help keep radiant energy from transferring in or out of a home. When applied to the underside of a home’s uncoated roof deck, E-Barrier is designed to reflect radiant heat before it reaches the insulation or ceiling below, so rooms stay cooler in warmer weather, the manufacturer says. In colder weather, these same features contribute to a home’s insulation properties by helping to reflect existing heat back into the home. Sherwin-Williams claims E-Barrier reduces heating /cooling costs by as much as 15 percent, as certified by an independent testing laboratory. Sherwin-Williams Deckscapes

Sherwin-Williams also introduces DeckScapes, a new top-quality line of deck finishing products that includes a waterborne Semi-Transparent Stain as well as a waterborne Solid Color Stain. These products utilize exclusive proprietary technology that offers superior adhesion and durability in single-coat coverage. For more information, visit the Sherwin-Williams Web site.
