PPG Industries

Pittsburgh acquires Iowa
PPG Industries has agreed to acquire a network of 42 Iowa Paint service centers from privately owned Iowa Paint Manufacturing. The architectural coating service centers are focused on professional paint contractors and industrial customers in the Midwest. The deal also includes architectural finish brands Iowa and Sterling.

“This geographic extension will expand the reach of our distribution network and add to the vitality and strength of our business,” said Richard Beuke, PPG vice president of architectural coatings, in a news release.

Iowa Paint operates service centers in eight states: Iowa, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota. PPG currently operates 337 company-owned architectural coatings service centers in 23 states.

PPG also manufactures paints and stains under the Pittsburgh Paints, Olympic, Porter, Monarch and Lucite brands. More information can be found at www.ppg.com.
