Shurtape Technologies LLC has moved into its new 130,000-square-foot distribution center in Catawba, N.C., near Shurtape’s headquarters in Hickory.

The new facility, which holds inventory formerly found at two smaller warehouses, allows the tape manufacturer to process orders faster and with more flexibility. Customers in the central and western areas of the United States are enjoying improved service due to quicker replenishment of Shurtape distribution facilities in Kansas City and Phoenix.

The new distribution center has considerable room for inventory expansion. Also, it utilizes state-of-the-art material handling and racking equipment capable of accommodating many different types of pallets. This equipment, supported by new wireless communication technology, will reduce the time required to handle incoming and outgoing product.
