Tooling: Binks Pogo Plus Pump Sprayer

In June 2005, Binks announced a new generation of the Pogo Plus Pump that promises better reliability than the original. The new edition incorporates several new features designed to ensure continuous high-volume delivery of low-to-medium-viscosity coatings and adhesives.

The improved Pogo Plus offers a new 2-inch air motor with “unbalanced valve” design that is virtually unstallable; upper ball check, for more reliable transfer than flat check; a contained leak path that prevents material build-up on the drum; an improved energized upper “U” cup for longer life with less leakage; and a divorced design for easy maintenance and prevention of material migration into the motor.

The pump is available in stainless steel or carbon steel for compatibility with a wide variety of materials, including water-based or solvent-borne paints and adhesives. The two-ball design provides better priming of the foot-valve, while double-acting pumps deliver material on both the up and down stroke.

Since it was introduced in the second quarter of 2004, the Binks Pogo Plus Pump has gained wide acceptance throughout the wood, countertop, adhesives, marine, truck and furniture industry.
