Seal-Krete DampLock Masonry Waterproofing Paint
Convenience Products, maker of Seal-Krete brand products, has introduced DampLock masonry waterproofing paint.
DampLock below-grade paint offers water resistance to more than 20 PSI of hydrostatic pressure, twice that offered by competitive paints and more than four times the hydrostatic pressure resistance required. The below-grade waterproofing paint is ideal for interior or exterior walls subject to water seepage and mold growth. Unlike competitive paints, DampLock is ultra low-odor with a smooth (not gritty) finish. It includes Home Shield mildewcide and offers a 5-year mold and mildew guarantee as well as a 10-year waterproofing guarantee. It also has very high salt and chloride resistance.
While many below-grade paints contain sand, DampLock is made with premium white fillers, which provide a smooth, high-coverage finish that rolls on easily with a high spread rate for a bright white satin surface. It’s VOC compliant and works on concrete and masonry, including birdbaths and retaining walls. It protects drywall in humid environments that might promote mold growth. And DampLock is tintable, so consumers have a décor option other than white, although it can be painted over without affecting its waterproofing attributes or durability.
Besides new DampLock waterproofing paint, Seal-Krete now offers DampLock Masonry Crack Filler for aesthetic repairs and DampLock Hydraulic Cement, which immediately stops active water leaks.
Seal-Krete DampLock is available in one and five gallon containers.
