The Ladder-Max stand-off stabilizer

Ladder-Max stand-off stabilizer

The Ladder-Max stand-off stabilizer, a universal ladder attachment that weighs slightly more than 7 pounds, is the first lightweight stand-off of its kind. It’s also the first stabilizer that is OSHA-certified for direct roof placement.

The foundation of Ladder-Max is its rugged tubular steel assembly. Two “full rung contact steps” are bolted onto two arms curved to a 90-degree angle to create the form of an arch, which in turn creates a wedge with the ladder when placed into position. To minimize lateral and horizontal slippage, two soft, nonmarring orange plastic tips provide two full points of adhesive-type contact when placed onto a sidewall or roof. The dreaded sideslip has been positively addressed.

The Ladder-Max stand-off stabilizerAt a width of 39 inches, and boasting a full 19-inch stand-off from any sidewall or roof, Ladder-Max gives contractors a more natural angle from which to work and helps them avoid damaging shingles, gutters, and siding. The tool’s wide base offers workers stability in a lateral range of up to 10 feet, lending itself to a greater sense of security, not to mention efficiency and timeliness.

The Ladder-Max can be assembled in minutes. This lightweight stabilizer is easily secured with spring steel wire lock pins in seconds. No tools are necessary for installation. With a newly redesigned universal step, Ladder-Max fits all articulated ladders.
