Minwax Improved Formula Helmsman Spar Urethane and Minwax Clear Brushing Lacquer are both new from Minwax.
Helmsman Spar Urethane, a clear, durable protective finish, can be used over bare or stained wood. It forms a barrier against rain and moisture, and its special oils let it expand and contract with the wood as seasons and temperatures change. This improved version of the coating features a fast-drying formula and more UV blockers.
Minwax Clear Brushing Lacquer combines the beauty of a traditional lacquer finish with the ease of brush application. Formulated for interior wood surfaces and wood furniture, it can be used over bare or stained wood as well as metal. Painters who use this lacquer can start recoating in two hours with no sanding before the second coat.
Both the urethane and lacquer are available in a clear satin, a clear semigloss and a gloss. They are also sold in aerosol form.
