Pecora Silicone Tint

Pecora Corp. Tintable Silicone

Pecora Corp. has introduced Pecora 890FTS (Field Tintable Silicone), touted as the industry’s first Class 100 nonstaining field-tintable silicone sealant.

Pecora 890FTS offers 48 standard color options which, as its full name implies, are added in the field. The contractor tints a pail of 890FTS with a Pecora Universal Color Pack, a task that takes only three minutes. Because of the field-tinting feature, distributors can stock a wider variety of colors for silicones than they could traditionally. Custom color orders are quicker and less costly because they do not require the manufacturing of a special batch.

The coating also has unique value as a sealant. The formula won’t stain common porous substrates such as marble, granite and limestone. It adheres tenaciously to most substrates, including mill-finished aluminum and Kynar, without the need for primer. And because its formula doesn’t include oils that cause dirt pickup, it eliminates the problem of residue rundown.

For more information, call (800) 355-8817 or visit the Pecora Web site.
