With a resounding kerchunk, LeveLok’s new Quick Connect System allows accessories to be attached to ladders safely and securely in seconds — and removed just as quickly.
The System consists of two parts: one or more pairs of Base Units, plus the Quick Connect accessory (or accessories) of the user’s choice.
Base Unit connector brackets are mounted on the left and right ladder rails. Made of rock-solid box aluminum, they can be installed quickly and easily on all fiberglass and aluminum extension and combination ladders.
After those are attached, accessories with buttonlike “mating connectors” can be fixed to the connector brackets. The connectors are inserted and snap-locked into a Base Unit’s keyed holes. Accessories are released and removed by simply activating a Base Unit’s upper release lever with a finger or thumb, then sliding the accessory down and out.
The first release in the Quick Connect accessory line is a single ladder leveler. This special version of the “industrial strength” LL-STB-1 leveler will snap into a Base Unit on either side of a ladder. Gripping teeth on the leveler’s shoe bite into ice, snow and gravel surfaces.
Two more accessories are scheduled for release in coming months: a QC Shoulder Rest in October and a QC Ladder Transport in November.
The heavy-duty Quick Connect System meets or exceeds all OSHA and ANSI requirements for ladders up to and including 1AA (375 lb) duty ratings. Each base unit includes an additional self-locking pin for backup security. The Quick Connect System provides theft protection, as unused accessories can stay safely locked in a service vehicle.
