Rohm & Haas Avanse

Advanced acrylics
Rohm and Haas Co. has developed a new waterborne technology geared to the high-performance coatings market. This new technology, trademarked under the name "Avanse," offers an advanced line of waterborne acrylics.

Avanse resins offer considerable improvements in pigment distribution, allowing for significant new levels of coating performance, especially in gloss, corrosion control and hiding. Avanse MV-100, a high-solids acrylic binder that allows the manufacturer broad formulating latitude, can be used in both primer and topcoat lines. In addition, Avanse MV-100 meets the needs of changing VOC regulations without compromising corrosion resistance or gloss retention. The binder is the first waterborne technology that is a system approach for 100 grams/liter VOC formulations.
