When Wood Classics Waterborne Polyurethane Varnish is applied over light-toned or pastel-shade stains, it dries quickly to a clear finish so stain color glows through with no change in hue. And, because the varnish is waterborne, there is virtually no odor.
The Wood Classics System features a variety of Wood Classics Stains. They are thicker than conventional stains, making them faster and easier to apply. In fact, Wood Classics Stains can be recoated in just two hours, turning two-or-three-day projects into one day jobs. Wood Classics also can be used to create a wood grain look on hardboard skinned, hollow-core doors, offering added appeal to otherwise ordinary surfaces.
Wood Classics offers eight package colors and a wide range of more than 40 colors available through Sherwin Williams’ exclusive tint base system - including eight FUN STAIN colors. These colorful FUN STAIN hues are ideal for accenting wood floors and trim.
In addition to the new Waterborne Polyurethane Varnish, the complete Wood Classics interior wood finishing system also includes a Sanding Sealer, a Fast Dry Varnish, and a Polyurethane Varnish.
