Regency wins BBB crown
Regency Wallcraft Inc., a Columbus, Ohio, business that installs residential and commercial wallcovering, was honored in the one-to-10 employee category in the 2005 Better Business Bureaus’ International Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics.
This international competition, held by the Council of Better Business Bureaus, attracts more than a thousand entries from businesses of all sizes throughout North America. Jim Turner, president and CEO of Regency Wallcraft Inc., accepted the award on his company’s behalf.
The International Torch Awards are presented to companies in recognition of their outstanding commitment to exceptional standards in relationships to their consumers, employees, suppliers, competitors, shareholders, and surrounding communities. A winner is selected each year in four size categories by an independent panel of judges with expertise in business ethics. Recipients of the award have demonstrated a commitment to high ethical standards of behavior and provided documentation in Management Practices; Customer, Vendor and Supplier Relations; Marketing, Advertising, Communications and Sales Practices; and Reputation within the Industry and Community.
Among other positive attributes, Regency Wallcraft provides a written warranty on all work performed — one year for residential clients and two years for commercial projects — and has donated material and labor to numerous charity projects. The company also was awarded the BBB/Columbus Business Integrity Award in 2004.
The award is open to for-profit businesses that provide goods or services to retail and wholesale markets located in the U.S., Canada or communities in Mexico served by Better Business Bureaus. Regency can be reached at (877) 217-7840.
