Armstrong Clark, deck stains, drywall repair, sealing drywall

The Armstrong Clark Company offers two layers of protection with only one brush stroke. Special sealer helps with repairs to damaged drywall.

The Armstrong-Clark Company’s Weather Shield line, designed for the oil-based transparent wood stain market, incorporates drying oils and non-drying oils in their formulas.

Let’s face the facts, wood deteriorates because it loses its non-drying oils. The oils are baked and washed out due to climatic conditions. Historically, and at present, all coatings are designed to slow down further deterioration. They are drying oils with pigments to reflect the ultra violet rays and water repellents to shed the water. This is a good concept but not good enough! What about the damage that has already occurred?

The Weather Shield “tones” incorporate a heavy bodied natural paraffinic non-drying oil that completely separates from the vegetable oil formula. This non-drying conditioning oil soaks deep into the wood fiber where the natural oils have vacated. The vegetable oil with pigment, mildewcide and water repellants then dries on the surface and locks in the conditioning oil for a “positive dry” surface finish. Thus, the two coats of protection with one brush stroke.

Weather Shield tones come in three colors: Cedar Tone, Redwood Tone and Natural Tone. These products are easily sprayed , rolled or brushed. They are low-odor and utilize the transparent oxide technology. Weather Shield tones are true oil-based coatings that comply with California and EPA VOC regulations. And don’t worry about having to change products ever again because The Armstrong-Clark Co. is presently into their second year of exterior testing on their 40 gram per liter VOC oil-based (no water) product line. It looks like there really are big benefits for 5 generations in the paint industry. For more information, please contact the wood experts at the Armstrong-Clark Co., P.O.
