From the time you enter their facility, you will have the feeling that it is not your average decorative painting studio. Innovative finishes adorn every wall, cabinet and surface in sight. The studio offers an ideal working atmosphere that allows contractors to receive the right proportion of quality instruction, hands-on training with the best materials, inspiring surroundings, and creative stimulation. The specially tailored classroom environment features individual dryers, spacious vertically designed wall stations, limited class size, and expert support.

With classes ranging from the novice at two days and ending with the advanced level five-day, there is a place for all to learn and cultivate. Many Faux Masters’ alumni return on a regular basis for continuing education, growth and to stay in front of an always exciting and expanding industry.

The five-day Designer Walls I course is Faux Masters’ most popular class. This course is excellent for decorative finishers and painters who are looking to build on their portfolio and find easier ways to achieve some of today’s top finishes. This course is designed to provide training in surface preparation, color-washing techniques, color mixing, textured finishes, product knowledge, and use of tools. Also covered in class are iron replications and pricing and bidding for a profit.

Faux Masters was dreamed of and created by third-generation cousins Bob and Mike Hoppe, who say, “Every thing we know we learned from someone who was willing to share.” Through their zest for learning they developed an appetite for knowledge that to this day has continued through their contracting company, Hoppe Brothers and Sons.

They believe that the combination of their desire to share their knowledge in an open and unguarded fashion and their distribution of Faux Effects International Products has been the reason Faux Masters has enjoyed such a rapid growth in its first six years.
