The Extech Digital Psychrometer & Infrared Thermometer

The Extech Digital Psychrometer & Infrared Thermometer is a precision, handheld instrument that gives the user three measurements at one glance.

The digital psychrometer contains a triple display with backlighting for viewing air temperature, relative humidity, surface temperature, dew point temperature or wet bulb temperature. Measurements of three of these conditions are viewable simultaneously. The 7-inch-long instrument includes a noncontact infrared thermometer with laser sighting, 8:1 distance-to-target ratio and adjustable emissivity (0.3-0.99), as well as a retractable probe. Ranges of detection are: 10 percent to 90 percent (relative humidity), minus 40 F to 932 F (surface temperature), minus 4 F to 122 F (air temperature), minus 90.4 F to 122 F (dew point), minus 6.9 F to 122 F (wet bulb).

The device is sold as part of a kit that includes RS 232 interface cable, calibration bottles, batteries and a carrying case. One distributor of the kit is KTA-Tator Inc., which can be contacted at KTA-Tator Web site or (800) 582-4243. Information about Extech Instruments Corp. can be found at the Extech Web site or by calling (781) 890-7440.
