XIM's TileDOCTM
XIM’s Tile DOCTM is shown by an independent testing lab to have superior resistance to peeling on porcelain and tile compared to competitive epoxies under tough, hot, soapy water conditions.
The tests were modifications of ASTM D870, “Standard Practice for Testing Water Resistance of Coatings Using Water Immersion.”
The specific tests used by DL Laboratories, “The Soapy Water Immersion Test” and “The Boiling Water Test” reflect the harsh XIM’s Tile DOCTM is a product for refinishing tubs, sinks and showers. Tile DOCTM has been tested by DL Laboratories1, an independent testing lab. The testing compared two-part epoxy coatings marketed and used for refinishing porcelain and ceramic tile in tub, sink and shower applications.
Condition found in sinks, tubs and showers. These test methods dictate “scribing” the coating (cutting through the coating to the porcelain or ceramic surface before the test) to test both the coating as well as the coating’s ability to resist undercutting or peeling at an edge or paint-break.
The tests showed that the Tile DOCTM has superior adhesion and resistance to peeling compared to the competitive epoxy coatings tested.
